It was one of the few touching moments (the singing of Glory was another) of an otherwise uninspired event. Moore’s message was cogent, succinct, and beautiful. Upon reflection, this is what one might expect from the Academy Award winning author of the screenplay of The Imitation Game.

    • Yep! I love that the title of the “Imitation Game” has two meanings, as he was imitating to be someone he was not, as well as playing the game to decode the German intelligence. Thanks.

I didn’t see the Academy Awards since I hadn’t seen the movies up for the Oscars (yes, I do live under a rock), but I did see a transcript of this speech. I was touched and amazed and wanted to stand up and clap. To all the people out there who feel like they don’t fit in (past and present), this one’s for you!!!
